March Madness

Early Spring Break in Cali was fun! We enjoyed shopping, Baja Fish Tacos and Disneyland. Gigi took the girls to Cinnamon Productions and let them each pick a treat.  They thought that was pretty cool.  We had fun making Gigi's hair into a reverse beehive and loved watching the twins with oliver.  Alice made her own Kitty out of Bristle Blocks.  It looked pretty awesome. Gerrit came to Disney with us this time.  The kids loved having him there.  It was a long day but he made it....barely.

The reason we visiting California was for Grandpa Miller's 100th birthday party!! It was so fun!  He is a celebrity.  Seems like a lady killer too.  Lots of people were there from Compton days and Escondido.  He looked sharp and enjoyed every moment.  I can't believe how much Gerrit looks like his Grandpa as a young man.  Maybe Gerrit will last forever too!

After the party we went to visit Grandma Miller.  She was so sweet and was way into Delilah this trip.  Her dementia is hard but she is still as beautiful and sweet as ever.

Back home we had the annual Fun Run!  The kids love doing this every year.  Alice needed to join the fun too and ran two laps with Chloë!  Next year she will be in Kindergarten and running by herself.  I'm kinda freaking out about that.

Delilah had her 2nd grade play.  She was an elephant and the play was called Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock.  Her part was "And the elephants were happy to take a break pulling down bananas"  She said her part in unison with Adi.  She did a really good job.  Her singing was animated as usual and she was happy to stare at my camera the whole time.

Since we had already been to somewhere before Spring Break we decided to kick it at home.  We watched a lot of Fixer Upper and played lots of soccer.  Chloë decided she wanted to put together a Bake Sale for her buddy Carter.  She recruited Ellie to help.  We made lots of treats and they made some signs.  We earned so much money and it was a super fun activity to do.  People came from all over the neighborhood and were very generous with their money.  It was really sweet to see that.  We sent Carter the money and he got a really cool bike that is easier for him to ride.

The water in the pool was still super cold but the kids tried to brave it.  They were cold but it was still fun.  My neighbor had some left over tickets for Freestone park.  We had never been before so I took the little girls.  They had a few rides.  The kids had fun but it was no Disneyland.  Haha we didn't last very long.  We took the kids to Chandler Mall.  It was kinda funny and the clerk in Ann Taylor Loft wasn't a fan of the fart sounds.

Karis and Marty have a cabin in Payson that we visited.  We helped fix some things and did some exploring.  We had fun on the 4 wheelers too!  It was pretty up there and the cabin is coming along! One of the houses close by is super sketchy.  I couldn't believe how much stuff was just on the front porch. Braedon made his way through the doggy door and we explored.  It was a little weird.  They had a pillow with their family tree and Boswell was on it! What are the chances?

The rest of the break was movies and cuddles.

Happy Easter!!! This year decorating eggs was actually fun!  I saw this circus kit at Target and it was so adorable i had to buy it.  It turned out even better than I thought it would!  We had Mike and Alyse over to dye eggs and for Easter dinner too.  It was fun having them.  Durning the egg hunt Chloë and Delilah both found the Golden Eggs.  One had 5 bucks in it that may have gotten a little wet from hiding in the pool, and the other had a clue to a fun surprise for everyone.   For dinner we made pink easter biscuits and Chloë did Bunny Rabbit Origami for everyone.  They were so cute!

The bates surprised their kids with the cutest French Bulldog named Navy for Easter.  We went over to play with her.  She is so adorable and the kids are in heaven.
