February Fun

This February Kitty turned 8!  She was so excited to get baptized and did really well.  We went out to take some 8 year old pictures and it was kinda breezy and cold.  She was a champ and powered through.  Our Delilah is one of a kind.  Our family would not be complete without Delilah.  Sweet kitty is the best!

Of course February is the month of love!  The father daughter dance happened again and it was adorable.  The girls have so much fun with dad dancing the night away.  Next year Alice with be in Kindergarten and will get to go too!

That same week Gerrit's buds Paul and Nate came to visit.  They had a fun time swimming, drinking red bull concoctions and going to the super cross races.  It was fun to have them here and here DUDE like a bazillion times.

We were at the park (across the street from our house) and apparently Alice couldn't hold her pee any longer.  So she decided to pee in the grass.  I looked over and saw this site.  I couldn't stop laughing.

The Super Bowl is not super exciting at our house.  It consisted of painting and folding laundry.  We sure know how to PARTY!!

We had our first Dental appointments since we moved from FLORIDA!  Oops, mom fail.  The  kids did great.  It's always a little nerve racking getting x-rays,  they are pretty uncomfortable.  I was so involved with Chloë and Delilah that I didn't even notice the Dental Hygienist take Alice over to the chair and start her exam.  It was so cute looking over and seeing her tiny body on the chair and just going with the flow.

Valentine's Parties rule the schools!  Here is Alice in her cute homemade headband.

We like to visit the model homes and see all the decorations.  Alice runs straight to her favorite room and gets cozy as fast as she can.  The kids are always saying, "This is my room!"

All the Grandparents were in town for the Baptism and were able to come to Chloë and Ellie's soccer game.  It was so fun having so many people there to support them.

Delilah's big day was a success.  She was so beautiful and beaming with personality.  She had to get dunked twice because her hair didn't want to get baptized.  She didn't mind though.  I thought she would be way more nervous to enter the font but she did great. Her baptism was extra special because it was on her actual birthday!  It just so happened stake baptisms were on her day.  Lots and lots of family came to see her and she was the only one getting baptized that day so it was her own special day.  After we had lunch at the house and a birthday party.  She was excited to get a new MONSTAZ named Delilah.

That night all she wanted was Pei Wei.  Since no one in the family likes it, we just went together with Gigi, Karis and Kate.  Gigi gave her a bunch of new Berenstain Bears books which she read the whole night in between bites of noodles.

Gerrit's mom and dad stayed and visited for a while.  It was cute having them there for bedtime routines.   We spent time at the lake and had a fun Valentines dinner.  We went on a tour of Janell's family.  Spent some time in the cemetery finding relatives and visiting different houses.  It was fun to see all the places that mean so much to her and her family.  We got to see her Grandparents house close to the Mesa Temple and her dad's house in Chandler!

The rest of February was spent in the Hot Tub, reading as many Berenstain Bears books possible and at the park. Chloë also discovered how fun texting could be.  This text chair was hilarious.

Alice found the purple wig that chloë got for her birthday when she was 6.  She thought it was so funny, and she looked so cute!  I did a comparison of the two girls in the wig.
