SEPTEMBER

Alice loves Animals.  The Bates got some Chickens and she is obsessed with them.  She wants to hold them but they want to wander.  It's a chicken race!  

we had some wasted space in the hallway upstairs and we needed a work space for kiddos.  So with lots of measurements we configured a cool spot for  homework.  I'm super happy with how it turned out and the kids love it!  We even have a spot for all those pictures they draw.  Alice still likes to practice her letters on the ground with alphabet cookies.  Smart girl.  In school Delilah was Hornet of the week and she had to make a circle chart of herself.  Inside the circle is what she likes and outside the circle are people who have inspired her to be who she is.  My favorites are "Maredith" "stitch"  "Jeses" and "cold pizza"

The kids have been brushing up on Pee-Wee's Playhouse.  They have been really into Miss Yvonne and a certain episode where she does a really strange hawaiian dance/hula dance.  It's pretty hilarious to watch them.  This is what happens when Gerrit is working nights.  I also get some roommates while he's gone.  

Chloë started fall season of soccer with her same team.  This year they are the Cougars.  Geri is coaching and is doing a great job.  The first game happened to be on coaches birthday!

Braedon went to Homecoming!  So handsome.  I can't believe how old he is.

Alice is my helper when she is not in school.  She loves to open my straws for my "Drink of Mama's"

Rob and Sheree gave Gerrit his favorite thing for his birthday!  A giant Watermelon.  They brought it into the bowling ally which probably confused a lot of people.  We wanted to throw that down the lane so bad!
