AUGUST

August means school starts way too early and its still way too hot.  We decided to have a back to school pool party with some friends.  The kids had so much fun.  It was cool to be so popular that day.  Chloë started 5th grade with Mrs Fisher as her home room teacher.  They switch teachers and class rooms for each subject in 5th grade so it will be different for her this year.  Delilah started 2nd grade with Mrs Montoya.  She is apparently the 2nd grade teacher everyone wants!  Alice went back to Mrs Juliette for preschool.  She was super excited to go.  Chloë picked band this year and of all the instruments she picked the Trombone.  It's huge!  Hopefully it will go well.

We decided to get out of the heat for a bit and went to Sedona with the Laneys.  On the way there we saw the coolest cloud that looked like a bunny!  We had fun swimming, eating and hiking around. We went to a cool little cliff jumping site that was way too crowded so we hiked down the river banks to find our own spot.  The water was freezing and we were all kinda tired and crabby.  Chloë still had a blast though!

Our good friends Katti and Cory Hatch came to AZ for a job interview.  They stayed with us a couple nights.  It was fun to catch up and laugh.  We had some fun in the pool and Gerrit and Alice love to go night swimming.

We had a fun swim party with cousins and after we went scorpion hunting with Grandpa Brent.(Sheree's dad)  Those things are beyond creepy.  We didn't find a single one at our house though!

Brandon came to Chandler for his job and we were able to hang out for a bit.  he played video games with the girls and we went out to dinner a few nights.  I love that we are still friends.  He's been such a good friend to me.

We got our pool gate installed, which makes it much safer back there.  We spend a lot of time in the backyard now.  We went to Disneyland for the weekend.  It was hot.  We didn't escape the heat.  That was a bummer.  We still had fun of course.  We finished August off at the beach.  The water was perfect!
