JULY

July was hot and we spent a lot of time swimming, BBQing, going on bike rides, watching US women soccer and some home improvement projects.  We celebrated the 4th by painting our nails and having a swim party with our friends the Andes.  We did our own fireworks and it was so miserable outside that I think after 2 4th's in AZ it might be a lost cause.  The kids didn't love it and the mosquitos loved us!

For Pioneer Day we did our annual Utah trip!  It was extra fun since Scarlett was there with the boys. The kids had a lot of fun playing together.  We spent time with friends and Grandma and Grandpa.  I tried the new rave....Soda shops and sugar cookies.  The best is Sodalicious in Provo.

Morrissey was playing at a very small venue in Salt Lake so I got a ticket online and went to the concert all by myself.  It was still super fun.  I could't believe how close he was, and he really sounded amazing!

We always love to spend some time in the canyon with the family.  The water was freezing but we still had fun getting wet.  Alice was obsessed with the Box Alder bugs and was using them as dolls.  She made them talk to each other and carried them around everywhere.  Poor little bugs didn't quite make it.  ChloĆ« and I made a sail boat out of branches and leaves and watched it sail down the river.

We had a super fun BBQ with our pals at Justin and Sunny's house.  The food was so good and the company was even better.  I look forward to seeing these rascals every time I'm in Utah. We hit up In n Out for lunch on the way to the zoo.  The kids were so cute looking out the window.  We had fun at the zoo.  They even had Dinosaurs around that aren't normally there.  Some of them were water features to cool the kids down.

This was the last year for the kickball tournament in Spanish Fork.  They were dressed ugly as ever and ready to have a great time.   The kids held signs and cheered for their dads.  They were all on the news as the "second place team"  haha.  Worth it.  Crockett ended up falling and re breaking her ankle.  Not worth it.  Chad was so nice to hook her up and take her in for an X-ray.  She healed pretty quickly and didn't need a cast.

We of course kept the tradition of Brick Oven with Adrian and family.  soooo tasty.  We went to Lennon's birthday party and hung out with Rachel and family for a while.  Always fun to chill with them.  The kids had fun building birthday legos together.

The Bean Museum is always a must while we are in Utah.  This museum is fun, small and free.  Perfect.  A good water fight usually happens on one of the hot days and then we get ready for the Pioneer Day festivities.  Everyone looks so cute in their outfits and we have a good time playing games at the festival.  This time we went bowling at fat cats.  Grandma is a good bowler!  Utah wiped us out and we headed home more tired than when we started!

Aunt Terry was in town for a surgery and we were able to see her.  We went to lunch and had a fun pool party.  Pretty soon she will be back in the USA!
