Moving On Up

Back in California was crazy!  We helped unload boxes and donate while putting things in their place.  It was some intense work.  We barely had time to eat.  We did however get a lot of work done and mom was very excited we came to help.  It was a very emotional time too.  Sometimes we were laughing other times crying.  All in all it was very therapeutic for all.  Mom did a great job!  One breaking point was when mom was going thru all her curtain rods and she was like Mary Poppins just pulling stuff out of her never ending bag.  After about 10 minutes of sorting she said, "well clearly I didn't see what I had and just kept buying them."  To which I replied, "Ya think?"  We couldn't stop laughing and at times it was hard to breathe.  We took a picture so we could always remember how we felt at that time and what we were going through.  Through it all we had a little extra time to play.  Delilah taught Gigi how to play Aladdin on Nintendo, we all tried on the scariest mask found in a box, got some sun at the beach, and the kids enjoyed doughnuts at the counter with Gigi.  Chloë, Kate and Ellie took up sewing.  Chloë made me a skirt in my favorite color.  It didn't fit perfectly but it's the
thought that counts.
