Two days after the Smith's visited Florida we decided to visit Arizona on the first stop of the Summer Super Trip 2012. It was the beginning point of our 4 week getaway to the west. We boarded Southwest from Ft Myers to Phoenix and the kids did awesome. The girls opened some new flying fairies with a zip line that kept them busy for hours. Alice took a small nap and didn't freak out too much.
After we got to the heat I realized I only had Cakie's super hot blanket. Karis and I were feeling crafty so while making her a new valance for the kitchen I whipped up this silky smooth little blanket. Karis and I were trying to have a mini photo shoot but it wasn't working.
On Sunday we visited family
After watching Rapunzel we decided our craft would be homemade crowns

We took a drive and ran some errands and drove past Brennan's new office and the new Gilbert Temple
Delilah was so tired. She fell asleep in the cart at the grocery store and stayed asleep from that to the car then to Costco and the whole time in Costco. Our schedules were really off and the kids were waking up at like 5am.
Sheree was in AZ the same time as me. We went to her place and saw the taxidermy museum then visited the family farm. It was fun to see where she grew up and to catch up with her parents again.

Rachael came home from California 2 days before we left. We had a great time at Basha pool and setting up this slide in Karis' backyard. Then us girls had a yummy dinner at Joe's Farm Grill.
Let the road trip begin! We packed our car full of stuff and kids and hit the road to Gigi's house.
