On my 33rd birthday we spent the whole day together as a family!  Gerrit had like 5 days off from the hospital and it was so fun to have him around for Thanksgiving weekend / my birthday.  We headed to Ft. Myers Beach for the Sand Sculpture contest.  We parked and took a tram in which is always the girls favorite part of anything.  

These sculptures were insane!!!!  I couldn't believe how detailed these things were.  I heard at the end of the 10 day festival they blow them up with some kind of explosives.  Now that would be cool to see.

They also had vendors, music, sand sculpting speed contests.  We ate some shaved ice and then we headed down to the beach for a few hours.

For dinner we went to Chipotle and Alice sat in a restaurant high chair for the first time.  She's still kinda little, but she looked so cute.

At home we opened fun presents and ate store bought cake.  mmmmm

A few nights later the ladies went to Chili's to celebrate my 33rd.  It was an all-nighter.  It was a great birthday!  Thanks to everyone for the fun.
