My new calling is the Laurel Advisor. After being in Primary for 11 years this is a nice change. We planned New Beginnings for the girls that are turning 12 and will be advancing to Young Women. No one wanted to be in charge of decorating so I volunteered. The theme this year is "Embark in the Service of the Lord" so we chose a vintage travel theme with "Adventure Awaits" as our slogan. I gathered as many travel type decorations as I could and made lots of different kinds of garland. We served cupcakes and visited after a wonderful program. We had such a fun night. It's really nice to be part of the Young Women program and I'm so thankful my daughters will have this program to help them develop into great young women.
