Our last drive was to Florida. We heard that the Reimschiissel's were in Orlando visiting from Illinois so we drove to see them in their hotel. It was so fun to catch up with them. Since we saw them last they had twins! Perfect timing to see them. We headed to Rotonda West in Florida to stay with Brindy and Jason. The next morning Gerrit had a job interview in Port Charlotte. The interview went really well and we knew the job was a good possibility so we drove around looking for different places to live. It is definitely not the same as Naples, but still tropical living suits me. After we drove to Naples to visit the other Millers. Steve and his new wife met us at a restaurant where we talked anesthesia and Naples. It was fun to catch up with them. We were able to stay with Katti and Cory Hatch in Naples and catch up with some pals. We headed to the beach and visited our favorite spot. Unfortunately it was windy and cold, but we endured for the beauty and the memories. We went to the pier for the sunset and then off to dinner with friends.
We made it back to hang with the Hottman's for Valentines Day! We toured Englewood and saw the beach that they go to when they are out with the boys. Then we ate super tasty food and walked around some antique shops. Brindy made us a giant valentine and put it in our room. We went to the Snow Queen truck and Gerrit tried every flavor under the sun. Later that night we talked and laughed while eating amazing pizza and cheesecake from a GAS STATION! It was so good. In the morning it was time to say good bye. I will miss my great friend Brindy. We are a match made in Heaven. We had a layover in Austin so I texted Mark and Dana. They suggested we tried Amys Ice Cream. I got coconut and it didn't disappoint. The kids were with Gigi at the airport and were so cute and excited to greet us home. What a wonderful trip we had.
