Summer Break Begins!

When school was out we stuck around for a few days and celebrated Alice's birthday with dad.  After we headed to California to use our Disneyland Annual Passes for the last time.  We had a great two days at Disney and the girls were in heaven meeting characters and just not stressing about getting on ride after ride.  We just enjoyed our surroundings.  When Alice met the princesses she was so cute.  She just walked up and held their hands.  She was trying to do the Cinderella stance in one of the pics.  Casey Jr. was a hit again, and somehow Alice figured out it was fun to put your hands up on rides.  Gigi took Alice home the second afternoon we were there and I got to just hang with the big girls.  We had a lot of fun in drawing class and Delilah got brave and tried Star Tours.  About 2 minutes into the ride she leaned over and said she thought she was gonna throw up :(  She ended up being fine and forgot about it quickly.  She even made it the rest of the day without a stroller.  Chloë realized she could give piggy back rides so that helped us out too!

We spent the rest of the trip tying to go to the beach as much as possible.  We also spent a good amount of time coloring and drawing.  Ava and Chloë showed up at Del Taco wearing the same exact outfit and kept with the theme for 2 weeks.  Mom got us tickets to the Orange County Millennial Choir and we got to see Eric, Ava and Leah perform.  The concert was so amazing!  It was perfect for the 4th of July coming up.  We went to Grammy and Papa's for pizza and Penny Farthings.  All of us got to sit on the bike but I was way to scared to ride it.  It was fun to hang out with them.  They gave all the kids presents and then we finished the night with some Strawberry Shortcake.  MMMM.  Brandon and his family were in California the same time as us and we got to meet up for lunch and hang out a while.  I haven't seen him since Chloë was 6 months old and I've never met his kids or girlfriend.  It was so cool to see him.  He is a great dad to Christian and Shepherd.  Jarond came down   with Hoagie to hang for the day.  We had a great time at the park and just hanging out.  On one of my last days there, Billy Drew got the old BMW towed from the drive way.  That car is as old as Meredith, and hasn't worked in a few years.  They are hoping to fix her up and sell.  It was cute to see him out there with the love of his life... Until next time CA!
