Meeting New Cousins!

This week we had visitors! We love visitors.  Grandma came from Utah. Scarlett, Chris and the babies came from NY.  We were so excited to meet Gavin and Dominic for the first time! We spent the week together hanging out, watching babies play, going to the pool and beach, and taking turns on date night.  The day after they got in we went to Chloë's school for lunch and took a tour of her school with grandma.  Chloë was Leader of the Week too. Later that night was the Habit's for Happy Kids concert.  Chloë had a speaking part in the program and wasn't even nervous.  She did an excellent job.  Some of those words were hard!  She wanted her hair flat ironed and basically touched her hair on stage the entire night.  Ponytail, no ponytail, behind the ears, not behind the ears.  Gerrit and I were cracking up.  She looked so old. After we took her to get a Slurpee.

Her parts were:
The Golden Rule tells us to treat others the way we would
like to be treated. That’s the theme of Habit 5, “Seek First to
Understand, then to Be Understood.” Listen. Listen with your
ears. Listen with your mind. Listen with your heart. Give the
other person the respect that they deserve. The Golden Rule.

Oh, no! I have so much work to do! I have to paint the fence
and mow the lawn. I’ll never get it done! Oh, what did you
say? You will help me? Wow! That’s really nice of you.
We’ll get it done fast!!!!

That’s called SYNERGY. Working together is always better,
because you can do a better job in quick time. Music is a great
example of synergy. When we sing together or join a band
we keep the beat together, and play our instruments in perfect
harmony. Let’s All Work Together!

Delilah had a pirate party to attend in the park.  She looks so awesome complete with a chocolate beard.
Sunday we did a video chat with Dan before conference started.  He loved it.
